01 / Local coverage

Hillsborough County boat removal: city, waterfront and inland coverage

Hillsborough County’s incorporated cities are Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City. Our coverage also includes communities such as Apollo Beach and Ruskin, with local pages linked below.

A Tampa mailing address does not necessarily place a property inside Tampa city limits. Give the actual site address and boat position so the request can be assessed against the right access details.

Waterfront work

Describe the dock or berth and the available shore approach, together with visible hull condition.

Inland disposal

Show the supports or trailer and the route through the property. Specify the vessel items you want included.

Multiple locations

Separate each boat’s location, condition and approving contact rather than treating several sites as one removal.

Hillsborough County cities and communities we serve

Tampa, Temple Terrace and Plant City are incorporated cities. Apollo Beach and Ruskin are additional communities covered by our service area.

Other Hillsborough County locations are covered too. Send the exact vessel position and access information when contacting us.

Services across Hillsborough County

Paid boat removal, marine salvage, boat recovery, sunken boat recovery and junk boat disposal are available for assessment. Tell us whether the vessel will be retained after recovery or removed for disposal; those are different end points.

Emergency boat removal and emergency marine salvage requests are accepted 24/7. Deployment depends on safe conditions, site access and available resources.

Urgent vessel requests

Emergency Boat Removal & Marine Salvage

For emergency marine salvage in Hillsborough County, call with the vessel location, condition, and what has changed. Describe any obstruction or restricted access. We assess the request and discuss current crew and equipment availability; arrival time must be confirmed for the situation.

03 / Scope & access

Start with the boat location, then the intended outcome

The same vessel may need recovery from water, handling from supports or paid disposal. Explain the complete requested outcome so those tasks can be discussed together.

Your request checklist

  • Give the community and precise boat position.
  • Describe the hull and supports.
  • Name the access and approval contacts.
  • Specify recovery, removal and disposal requirements.

What shapes your Hillsborough County estimate?

Hillsborough County estimates reflect vessel size, condition, working access and the agreed end point. Inland disposal and recovery from water involve different requirements even for similarly sized boats.

Removal, recovery and disposal are paid services. Ask what is included, what is excluded, and which changes would require a revised estimate before work begins.

Hillsborough County access and removal questions

Does Alafia River Public Boat Ramp establish access to my boat in Hillsborough County?

The saved FWC record identifies Alafia River Public Boat Ramp on Tampa Bay - Alafia River in Hillsborough County. That identifies a public access reference, not a reserved working route. Send the actual vessel position and confirm current operator permission before relying on this location.

How should I compare Alafia River Public Boat Ramp and Edward Medard Park Boat Ramp?

Use the vessel’s actual position, the allowed approach and equipment needs. The directory records Alafia River Public Boat Ramp on Tampa Bay - Alafia River and Edward Medard Park Boat Ramp on Medard Reservoir. Straight-line proximity to a place reference point does not establish the suitable recovery route.

What location details matter within Hillsborough County?

Provide the vessel pin and authorized entrance, then describe whether it is afloat, submerged or ashore. The listed location for Alafia River Public Boat Ramp is 4020 Alafia Boulevard, BRANDON, 33511; do not substitute that ramp address for a boat elsewhere.

These answers use the saved ramp records linked below. They do not confirm present opening status, commercial-use permission or a completed AAA job at those sites.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the owner Kenneth today. Unfortunate because my in laws got stranded but a pleasure because Kenneth was absolutely amazing. My in laws were 3 hrs from home when they got stranded on the river and the loving children we are were scrambling first thing Saturday morning to find them help. Kenneth was quick and on top of getting their location to get them help. Being that they've been stuck there since last night Mr Kenneth was also quick to ask if they had food and water and needed any supplies. When things where then sorted out and a different company was on the way Mr Kenneth understood and was still very worried about my inlaws getting proper supplies and help. Though we didn't get to use his service I 10/10 recommend due to customer service.

Lesson number 1: Don’t ever put anything in your name for a family member. For 3.5yrs I have stared at an old boat in the yard that said family member finally gave away for free. Sounds great, right? Not when you are sitting at work and see on your cameras that said boat has suddenly reappeared in your front yard. Family member back in their home state, boat now in my front yard…panic attack. Several in fact. The boat was no longer in any kind of donation condition and this isn’t as easy to get rid of as a car or motorcycle which have junk yards. After panic searching and secretly crying in the bathroom at work (several times), I came across AAA Boat Salvage. I reached out for a quote and Kenneth got back to me super fast. He searched my address and let me know he could remove it the next day. He told me what to expect, they sent over paperwork for me to sign, and we confirmed an ETA for the next day. Kenneth kept me posted as he was coming from 2hrs away and I was able to coordinate with work to be home to meet him. He quickly connected the boat, was very professional and while he was prepping for safe transport he had me connect with the office for payment of removal services and my final copies of the necessary documents releasing me from ownership and liability of the boat. I feel much better knowing they will properly strip down the boat and dispose of it correctly and in accordance with environmental laws. It is painful to have to pay to dispose of a old vessel that was never meant to be my problem, but giving away something for free doesn’t mean someone will responsibly remove you from ownership and liability (or won’t dump it back in your yard at a future date like me). The nightmares of this eyesore are over, and Kenneth and the office team kept me sane and made this so easy for me .I am more than happy to recommend them!
