A Common Marina Problem

Is a Derelict Boat Costing You Slip Revenue?

An abandoned or derelict vessel isn't just an eyesore β€” it's a liability, a safety hazard, and a slip that isn't generating income. AAA Boat Salvage helps marinas resolve these situations.

A vessel abandoned by a former tenant
A boat tied up in a lien or ownership dispute
Storm-damaged boats after hurricane season
Sunken or partially submerged vessels in a slip
Multiple derelict boats needing removal at once
A slip you need cleared for a paying tenant
A vessel that's become a safety or environmental risk
Documentation needed for insurance or legal records

Marina FAQ

Common Questions From Marina Operators

Can you remove multiple boats in one visit?

Yes. We coordinate multi-vessel removal jobs, including bulk cleanup after a storm or a full slip clearance.

Do you handle boats that are under a marina lien?

We handle the physical removal of a vessel once your marina has completed its legal lien process. We're not attorneys and don't file liens β€” we'd recommend working with your legal counsel or Florida's derelict vessel program (FWC) on that side, and we'll take care of the removal itself.

Can you provide documentation of the vessel's condition?

Yes. We can provide photos and documentation of a vessel's condition and location on request, to support insurance or legal records.

Do you work directly with our attorney or property manager?

Yes. We're comfortable coordinating with whoever is managing the situation on your end β€” property manager, attorney, or marina staff.

Do you service marinas statewide?

Yes. We provide marina and commercial boat removal services throughout Florida, plus Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

How do we get started?

Call (786) 981-4777 or submit your marina's details through our online quote form. We'll review the situation and follow up to discuss next steps.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the owner Kenneth today. Unfortunate because my in laws got stranded but a pleasure because Kenneth was absolutely amazing. My in laws were 3 hrs from home when they got stranded on the river and the loving children we are were scrambling first thing Saturday morning to find them help. Kenneth was quick and on top of getting their location to get them help. Being that they've been stuck there since last night Mr Kenneth was also quick to ask if they had food and water and needed any supplies. When things where then sorted out and a different company was on the way Mr Kenneth understood and was still very worried about my inlaws getting proper supplies and help. Though we didn't get to use his service I 10/10 recommend due to customer service.

Lesson number 1: Don’t ever put anything in your name for a family member. For 3.5yrs I have stared at an old boat in the yard that said family member finally gave away for free. Sounds great, right? Not when you are sitting at work and see on your cameras that said boat has suddenly reappeared in your front yard. Family member back in their home state, boat now in my front yard…panic attack. Several in fact. The boat was no longer in any kind of donation condition and this isn’t as easy to get rid of as a car or motorcycle which have junk yards. After panic searching and secretly crying in the bathroom at work (several times), I came across AAA Boat Salvage. I reached out for a quote and Kenneth got back to me super fast. He searched my address and let me know he could remove it the next day. He told me what to expect, they sent over paperwork for me to sign, and we confirmed an ETA for the next day. Kenneth kept me posted as he was coming from 2hrs away and I was able to coordinate with work to be home to meet him. He quickly connected the boat, was very professional and while he was prepping for safe transport he had me connect with the office for payment of removal services and my final copies of the necessary documents releasing me from ownership and liability of the boat. I feel much better knowing they will properly strip down the boat and dispose of it correctly and in accordance with environmental laws. It is painful to have to pay to dispose of a old vessel that was never meant to be my problem, but giving away something for free doesn’t mean someone will responsibly remove you from ownership and liability (or won’t dump it back in your yard at a future date like me). The nightmares of this eyesore are over, and Kenneth and the office team kept me sane and made this so easy for me .I am more than happy to recommend them!
