02 / Planning for an island site

The boat matters.
So does the way in.

For a Sanibel waterfront job, a street address is only the starting point. Show us how the boat sits in relation to the dock, seawall, shoreline and the route equipment would need to take.

Include gate widths, nearby structures and vegetation, and whether a property manager controls access. For a vessel in the water, share its position and any known depth information. We review site permissions and working conditions before arranging equipment.

06 / Common questions

Before you arrange
boat removal.

Do you assess boat removal throughout Sanibel?

Yes. Share the exact property, dock or shoreline location so we can assess the vessel and confirm access and availability. Sanibel is part of our Lee County service area.

Can you recover a boat near a dock or shoreline?

We assess afloat, partially submerged and stranded vessels. Send photos showing the boat and surrounding access. Water depth, vessel stability, nearby structures and available equipment space help determine the recovery approach.

Can you remove a boat from a yard or private property?

Yes, we assess land-based removal. Include the boat’s approximate length, whether it is on a trailer, gate width and the condition of the route between the road and the vessel.

What if the boat’s owner is unknown?

Tell us what you know about the vessel and your connection to the property. Ownership and the required authorization must be resolved before removal is scheduled. Suspected abandoned vessels should be reported to the relevant law-enforcement agency.

How much does removal cost?

Removal and disposal are paid services. The estimate depends on the boat’s size, condition, location, access and equipment requirements. Photos help us understand the scope before discussing an estimate.

What should I include in the short form?

Provide your contact details, the boat’s location and approximate length, and a photo. When we follow up, we can discuss its condition, site access, ownership and the work you need.

Can you help with an insurance-related recovery?

Contact us to discuss the physical recovery and removal work and any documentation needed for your claim. Your insurer determines coverage and claim approval.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the owner Kenneth today. Unfortunate because my in laws got stranded but a pleasure because Kenneth was absolutely amazing. My in laws were 3 hrs from home when they got stranded on the river and the loving children we are were scrambling first thing Saturday morning to find them help. Kenneth was quick and on top of getting their location to get them help. Being that they've been stuck there since last night Mr Kenneth was also quick to ask if they had food and water and needed any supplies. When things where then sorted out and a different company was on the way Mr Kenneth understood and was still very worried about my inlaws getting proper supplies and help. Though we didn't get to use his service I 10/10 recommend due to customer service.

Lesson number 1: Don’t ever put anything in your name for a family member. For 3.5yrs I have stared at an old boat in the yard that said family member finally gave away for free. Sounds great, right? Not when you are sitting at work and see on your cameras that said boat has suddenly reappeared in your front yard. Family member back in their home state, boat now in my front yard…panic attack. Several in fact. The boat was no longer in any kind of donation condition and this isn’t as easy to get rid of as a car or motorcycle which have junk yards. After panic searching and secretly crying in the bathroom at work (several times), I came across AAA Boat Salvage. I reached out for a quote and Kenneth got back to me super fast. He searched my address and let me know he could remove it the next day. He told me what to expect, they sent over paperwork for me to sign, and we confirmed an ETA for the next day. Kenneth kept me posted as he was coming from 2hrs away and I was able to coordinate with work to be home to meet him. He quickly connected the boat, was very professional and while he was prepping for safe transport he had me connect with the office for payment of removal services and my final copies of the necessary documents releasing me from ownership and liability of the boat. I feel much better knowing they will properly strip down the boat and dispose of it correctly and in accordance with environmental laws. It is painful to have to pay to dispose of a old vessel that was never meant to be my problem, but giving away something for free doesn’t mean someone will responsibly remove you from ownership and liability (or won’t dump it back in your yard at a future date like me). The nightmares of this eyesore are over, and Kenneth and the office team kept me sane and made this so easy for me .I am more than happy to recommend them!
