Lake recovery with a defined working area

Show the vessel and surrounding shoreline or dock. Include depth if known, and explain whether the boat should be retained or disposed of after recovery.

The ramp references below are selected around Tallahassee using an official place reference point. Fuller Landing is listed on Lake Jackson (Leon County). Use the actual boat location, not the ramp address, when requesting recovery.

Map location · FWC source record

Source: FWC boat-ramp inventory, retrieved October 6, 2026. Selected records list government-owned public access and “Open for Business”; this is not a live closure check. Hand-launch-only sites and listed closures are excluded. Confirm current conditions, hours, fees and any commercial-use permission with the operator. A listed ramp is not a promised recovery route or an AAA facility.

For a recovery estimate, send the boat’s actual location. The nearest public launch may not be the suitable recovery access point.

Describe the boat and access together

In the water

For a boat near Lake Jackson (Leon County), provide the exact position, visible hull condition and depth if known. Identify shore access and any surrounding structures; do not assume a public ramp can serve the job.

What shapes a Tallahassee estimate?

Boat length and condition, water position or supports, working space and the agreed end point determine the work assessed. The public ramp references do not establish an equipment route or a fixed price.

Ask which recovery, removal and disposal tasks are included, what is excluded and what would require a revised estimate. If an insurer is involved, confirm coverage and payment arrangements with that insurer.

Tallahassee access and removal questions

Does Fuller Landing establish access to my boat in Tallahassee?

The saved FWC record identifies Fuller Landing on Lake Jackson (Leon County) in Leon County. That identifies a public access reference, not a reserved working route. Send the actual vessel position and confirm current operator permission before relying on this location.

How should I compare Fuller Landing and Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park (No Gasoline Motors)?

Use the vessel’s actual position, the allowed approach and equipment needs. The directory records Fuller Landing on Lake Jackson (Leon County) and Alfred B. Maclay Gardens State Park (No Gasoline Motors) on Lake Hall. Straight-line proximity to a place reference point does not establish the suitable recovery route.

What should I send for a Tallahassee recovery assessment?

Provide the vessel pin and authorized entrance, then describe whether it is afloat, submerged or ashore. The listed location for Fuller Landing is 1294 Fuller Landing Road, TALLAHASSEE, 32303; do not substitute that ramp address for a boat elsewhere.

These answers use the saved ramp records linked below. They do not confirm present opening status, commercial-use permission or a completed AAA job at those sites.

Waterfront and property access

For work in Tallahassee, identify whether the boat is at a dock, along a bank, on a trailer or resting on land. Supply the site contact and describe the route available for equipment.

The local ramp references include Fuller Landing on Lake Jackson (Leon County). A listed ramp is a location aid; confirm current access and commercial-use arrangements with its operator.

For a boat on private property, describe gate clearance, surface conditions and obstacles. For a boat in water, share its exact position and known depth from a safe location. Identify recovery, removal and paid disposal separately in the requested scope.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the owner Kenneth today. Unfortunate because my in laws got stranded but a pleasure because Kenneth was absolutely amazing. My in laws were 3 hrs from home when they got stranded on the river and the loving children we are were scrambling first thing Saturday morning to find them help. Kenneth was quick and on top of getting their location to get them help. Being that they've been stuck there since last night Mr Kenneth was also quick to ask if they had food and water and needed any supplies. When things where then sorted out and a different company was on the way Mr Kenneth understood and was still very worried about my inlaws getting proper supplies and help. Though we didn't get to use his service I 10/10 recommend due to customer service.

Lesson number 1: Don’t ever put anything in your name for a family member. For 3.5yrs I have stared at an old boat in the yard that said family member finally gave away for free. Sounds great, right? Not when you are sitting at work and see on your cameras that said boat has suddenly reappeared in your front yard. Family member back in their home state, boat now in my front yard…panic attack. Several in fact. The boat was no longer in any kind of donation condition and this isn’t as easy to get rid of as a car or motorcycle which have junk yards. After panic searching and secretly crying in the bathroom at work (several times), I came across AAA Boat Salvage. I reached out for a quote and Kenneth got back to me super fast. He searched my address and let me know he could remove it the next day. He told me what to expect, they sent over paperwork for me to sign, and we confirmed an ETA for the next day. Kenneth kept me posted as he was coming from 2hrs away and I was able to coordinate with work to be home to meet him. He quickly connected the boat, was very professional and while he was prepping for safe transport he had me connect with the office for payment of removal services and my final copies of the necessary documents releasing me from ownership and liability of the boat. I feel much better knowing they will properly strip down the boat and dispose of it correctly and in accordance with environmental laws. It is painful to have to pay to dispose of a old vessel that was never meant to be my problem, but giving away something for free doesn’t mean someone will responsibly remove you from ownership and liability (or won’t dump it back in your yard at a future date like me). The nightmares of this eyesore are over, and Kenneth and the office team kept me sane and made this so easy for me .I am more than happy to recommend them!
