Plan around the actual Flagler Beach recovery site

Flagler Beach includes waterfront locations along the Intracoastal Waterway as well as coastal areas. “Near the beach” is not enough to establish a workable recovery route. Send a precise location and describe the side of the waterway and property entrance involved.

After a storm, a boat may no longer be where it was normally kept. Use current photographs and explain what the hull is resting on. A photograph taken before the damage can help identify the vessel, but it does not establish present access or recovery requirements.

Intracoastal docks and slips

Give the slip or dock location, site contact, and space between the vessel and nearby structures. Tell us whether it is floating, submerged, or grounded beside the dock.

Displaced boats near the shoreline

Identify the boat’s current position and any visible contact with vegetation, a seawall, or another structure. Discuss access with the responsible property or facility contact; do not assume a public access point is suitable for equipment.

Boats stored on private property

For an unwanted hull in a yard or storage area, describe its supports and the route to the street. Include any gate or turning restriction and state whether disposal is part of the request.

Removal and recovery in Flagler Beach

Paid boat removal, marine salvage, boat recovery, sunken boat recovery and junk boat disposal are available for assessment. Tell us whether the vessel will be retained after recovery or removed for disposal; those are different end points.

Emergency boat removal and emergency marine salvage requests are accepted 24/7. Deployment depends on safe conditions, site access and available resources.

Urgent vessel requests

Emergency Boat Removal & Marine Salvage

For emergency marine salvage in Flagler Beach, call with the vessel location, condition, and what has changed. Describe any obstruction or restricted access. We assess the request and discuss current crew and equipment availability; arrival time must be confirmed for the situation.

Document what changed after the damage

When reporting a storm-damaged vessel, distinguish the normal storage location from the current recovery location. Note when the photos were taken and whether the position is still changing. For a managed waterfront, provide the person who can discuss site entry and the available working area.

Your request checklist

  • Send the current vessel location, not only its usual slip or address.
  • Describe grounding, submersion, visible hull damage, and nearby structures.
  • Provide current photographs and the time they were taken.
  • Identify the site contact and whether disposal is required after recovery.

What shapes your Flagler Beach estimate?

The work required for a grounded boat can differ substantially from recovery of a vessel submerged beside a dock. Current position, hull condition, and equipment access shape the Flagler Beach estimate. Ask whether the proposed scope includes only recovery or also removal and paid disposal.

Ask what is included, what is excluded, and which changes would require a revised estimate before work begins.

Removal, recovery and disposal are paid services. A recovery-only estimate and a recovery-with-disposal estimate describe different outcomes. Compare the included work, site arrangements and exclusions before approving the job. Read the Florida boat removal and disposal cost guide.

Flagler Beach access and removal questions

Does Moody Public Boat Launch establish access to my boat in Flagler Beach?

The saved FWC record identifies Moody Public Boat Launch on Atlantic ICW (Flagler County) Matanzas River in Flagler County. That identifies a public access reference, not a reserved working route. Send the actual vessel position and confirm current operator permission before relying on this location.

How should I compare Moody Public Boat Launch and Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park (Boats Under 16 feet)?

Use the vessel’s actual position, the allowed approach and equipment needs. The directory records Moody Public Boat Launch on Atlantic ICW (Flagler County) Matanzas River and Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park (Boats Under 16 feet) on Bulow Creek. Straight-line proximity to a place reference point does not establish the suitable recovery route.

What should I send for a Flagler Beach recovery assessment?

Provide the vessel pin and authorized entrance, then describe whether it is afloat, submerged or ashore. The listed location for Moody Public Boat Launch is 825 Moody Lane, FLAGLER BEACH, 32136; do not substitute that ramp address for a boat elsewhere.

These answers use the saved ramp records linked below. They do not confirm present opening status, commercial-use permission or a completed AAA job at those sites.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with the owner Kenneth today. Unfortunate because my in laws got stranded but a pleasure because Kenneth was absolutely amazing. My in laws were 3 hrs from home when they got stranded on the river and the loving children we are were scrambling first thing Saturday morning to find them help. Kenneth was quick and on top of getting their location to get them help. Being that they've been stuck there since last night Mr Kenneth was also quick to ask if they had food and water and needed any supplies. When things where then sorted out and a different company was on the way Mr Kenneth understood and was still very worried about my inlaws getting proper supplies and help. Though we didn't get to use his service I 10/10 recommend due to customer service.

Lesson number 1: Don’t ever put anything in your name for a family member. For 3.5yrs I have stared at an old boat in the yard that said family member finally gave away for free. Sounds great, right? Not when you are sitting at work and see on your cameras that said boat has suddenly reappeared in your front yard. Family member back in their home state, boat now in my front yard…panic attack. Several in fact. The boat was no longer in any kind of donation condition and this isn’t as easy to get rid of as a car or motorcycle which have junk yards. After panic searching and secretly crying in the bathroom at work (several times), I came across AAA Boat Salvage. I reached out for a quote and Kenneth got back to me super fast. He searched my address and let me know he could remove it the next day. He told me what to expect, they sent over paperwork for me to sign, and we confirmed an ETA for the next day. Kenneth kept me posted as he was coming from 2hrs away and I was able to coordinate with work to be home to meet him. He quickly connected the boat, was very professional and while he was prepping for safe transport he had me connect with the office for payment of removal services and my final copies of the necessary documents releasing me from ownership and liability of the boat. I feel much better knowing they will properly strip down the boat and dispose of it correctly and in accordance with environmental laws. It is painful to have to pay to dispose of a old vessel that was never meant to be my problem, but giving away something for free doesn’t mean someone will responsibly remove you from ownership and liability (or won’t dump it back in your yard at a future date like me). The nightmares of this eyesore are over, and Kenneth and the office team kept me sane and made this so easy for me .I am more than happy to recommend them!
